  Deep, concentrated and slightly reddish bronze color. Heavily oxidative, nutty and pungent nose with rather unpleasant aromas of fermented peach, some smoke, a little bit of beeswax and an overarching sur-agé Madeirized note. The wine is full-bodied, dry and quite bitter on the palate with heavily oxidized flavors of bruised apples, burnt sugar, some smoke, a little bit of roasted nuts and a hint of earth. The wine is high in acidity with firm, grippy tannins, but the taste is heavily oxidized and obviously past its prime. The finish is somewhat grippy with old, oxidative flavors of smoke, roasted nuts and bruised apples with a hint of aldehydic tang.
  
  Meh. The wine starts to be in pieces. In a lineup with seven Georgian amber wines, this was by far the most developed and rather unpleasant as well, drinking more like Tawny Port without any sugar. I thought Alaverdi skin-contact whites should keep for years, so probably this one was just kept in poor storage conditions. It's hard to say whether this wine is worth the 35€ or not.
