Community Tasting Notes 4

January 25, 2024 - Completely ready to go now, at age 8 and a half. And still some left in the tank for a few extra miles. Healthy profound ruby colour, looking quite youngish. Complex but shy nose with berry fruit, smoke and gamey notes (no brett, the nose is very clean). Full-bodied strictly dry, rather fresh taste. Red berries dominate, a few fine-grained tannins stretch the finish to a decent length. Very good effort!

November 12, 2020 - Not quite sure what to make of this. Concentrated, but pretty high acid as well. I'lll try the rest of the bottle tomorrow.

January 22, 2019 - La bomba. Dark berry fruit mixes with subtle spices (paprika, ground pepper) on the nose. Full-bodied, very dense, but very refreshing at the same time. Dry to the bone, great balance of all its elements. Great grape/region representation. Unfortunately, not as popular in Asia as it is in Europe.

November 22, 2018 - At Brasseriet Lipp, Paris

    Deep red / purple.

Very rich nose with distinkt syrah character, (red) berry fruit is the dominating aroma

Appears very young and rich on the palate, the tannins are very smooth for such a young wine. Very powerful with a broad range of fruits and spices.

Drinking well now, but will improve much from some years in the cellar
