May 12, 2017 - This wine has greatly improved. One might say it is finally ready to drink. Great balance with wonderful Oregon PN fruit and tannin. I doubt it is a long keeper, but Oregon PN keeps fooling us. It seems to have lots more life in it, but why wait?

The glass I left after dinner by accident was still great, or even better, the next lunch time. The rest of the bottle was gassed and kept for two more days without any signs of deterioration. Unbelievable. Great with marinated pork on the third day. Chocolate as well.

October 8, 2016 - Upon opening, this wine was thin and sour. As it breathed it improved immensely ending with soft tannin, berry, enough acid to go well with food. This wine is getting old, drink up but open an hour, at least, ahead of time. It was never great, but it is an ok older Oregon PN.

December 1, 2006 - Hans Krueger Selections (K&L Distributors): Hints of brick or rust color. Initial nose of horse butt and barnyard with truffles and dried cranberries. Palate is of earth, spice, new oak, and raspberries. Finishes with a peppery spice and nice acidity. The body is medium with some definite tannins present, and adds to the mouth feel. If the barnyard were to blow off the nose, or at least soften, it would be a little more enjoyable.

December 1, 2006 - 1st Friday: This was my pinot of the day. Bright cherries on the nose. Soft and velvety on the front palate with some tannins picking up in the end. I thought this pinot did the best job at balancing everything out. The acidity, fruit, mouthfeel, and tannins were all in line, creating a very pleasureable experience.

November 26, 2006 - Thanksgiving tasting at Panther Creek tasting room. Definite hints of earth tones mingled with traditional cherry. Not a lot of spice or warmth.
