  March 12, 2024 - I enjoyed tonight as a flight of part of our wine group.
  We had 97,14,16,17. The 16 and 17 were tops after the first hour with the 16 just a hair above. The 97 started to wake up but the 16 was the wine of the flight.

  January 27, 2024 - Much better than the bottle I had last October. The nose was dark fruit. The palate was dark berries, cherry, currant, tobacco and hint of spice. The finish was moderate to long.

I opened the bottle 5 hours in advance of dinner, poured though a vinturio and drank it slowly throughout the evening. The nose was beautiful and gave me high hopes for a great bottle of wine. The palate was a different story. Yes there were flavors of berries and plums and oak but it was tannic as was the finish which was moderate in length. I have more so I am hoping that this was just an off bottle.

  March 7, 2023 - Deep ruby color. Pronounced, developing aromas of mushroom, tea leaves, forest floor, lavender, mint, dried oregano, cassis, dark plum, red cherry, sour cherry. Full bodied, high acidity, powdery med(+) tannins, high alcohol, long finish. Both red and dark fruits with earthy undertones. Beautifully aged already but will drink well in the next decade or so.
