December 31, 2021 - NYE dinner with crab. A bit bracing a first but a good pairing. And probably was better when younger, but refreshing and kept wanting to refill our glasses.

January 12, 2019 - Had over a dungeness crab dinner with friends and tasted side by side with the Urkizahar. This one was definitely the winner — more approachable and the acid wasn’t as strong and in your face. Wouldn’t drink this regularly or without food, but paired well with the crab and good QPR.

June 8, 2018 - Light, spritzy, lemony brine. More of what I like from this style.

June 7, 2018 - A few Spanish wines at Eric's: Similar to previous bottles. Very refreshing with high acid and a tiny bit of trapped gas. I should pick up a few more to have around this summer.

December 26, 2017 - Quite acidic, sea breeze, lemon and ripe green apple, light and uncomplicated but true-to-type. Probably best with Pintxos in San Sebastián, not so exhilarating in the context of a dreary, wet and grey Dutch Christmas.

December 17, 2017 - Very pale in color, and my wife said it almost looks like water. Bright floral nose with candied lime. On the palate, it is lively, again showing a candied lime and citrus note. Light bodied and crisp. Very high acid but not as severe as the Urkizahar we had a month or so ago. I like this one more, but you have to be an acid lover to appreciate these.
