In between some really great champagnes. Not destroyed but a step behind. Not oxidative, some herbal notes, precise finish. 93

June 15, 2023 - BYOB blind (my wine). Pretty disappointed. Have had this one before and it has been filled with energy. Now it was too developed to be this young. People in the group guessed vintage much older than 2012. Quite dark golden colour. Lots of very bruised apples. Very little complexity. Felt flat. Obvioulsy a bad bottle so won't give any score. I rated it 89.

I love this wine. Now in a perfect drinking window. Very winey, but balanced with a remarkable freshness. I love the 80-20 composition of this wine (CH-PN). Not oxidative, just sublime. 97

Needs some time and decanting to deliver. Feels sweet even it is zero dosage. Balanced in power and freshness. Not too oxidative. Black currant, spicy but not too heavy, refreshing acidity. 93-94

June 26, 2022 - Belize Trip - Drinking Well in the Jungle; 6/25/2022-7/1/2022 (Chan Chich Lodge, Gallon Jug, Belize): acid with a red berry undertone (sour cherry), with 15 minutes of air the fruit really starts to push through with beautiful raspberry and apple notes, all with a great amount of acid supporting them. This is the most focused Leclapart I’ve had, and just a phenomenal champagne.
