April 12, 2022 - I liked this, although it was a bit of a wild ride. It was alive; each sip seemed different. It might've been better a year or two ago (and now seeing that I gave it a 92 in 2018, maybe I did like it better then). I had decided to age this bottle. "Sex appeal" sure, it had some, with some wry wisdom of age.

March 10, 2021 - Red cherries, tart berries, funk, wild strawberries, and some spices (licorice, anise) on the nose. Nice acidity and a surprising amount of tannins with more of the cherries, red berries, blood orange, and a hint of sweet fruit on the palate. Nice finish. Lovely wine, maybe a bit riper than other Balagny wines, but just as delicious.

September 16, 2019 - Casual evening at Maison Dakota. Pop and poured. Drank in Gabriel Standart.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, purplish ruby colour. Legs.
Nose medium+ intensity, with aromas of whole bunch spicy stems, dirty earth, blackcurrrant fruit pastilles, black cherries, underlying natural leathery animal, bits of carbonic dark candy. Youthful.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium- tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet blackcurrant fruit pastilles, black cherries, spicy whole bunch stems, underlying leathery animal. Medium+ finish.
Good quality. Serious wine, seriously made Bojo Cru. Enjoyable drink, though just as the busty low cleavage label is, the concentrated dark black fruit here is too vulgar to reflect the Fleurie terroir, in my opinion. Drink now and enjoy. This can also be drunk over the next 3-4 years no problem.

March 17, 2019 - I thought this was excellent, maybe even surprisingly so. The label is fun, but the wine inside is a serious wine, IMO. It made me want to concentrate and capture its essence with just about every sip. But then, I guess it's not so serious that you couldn't just drink and enjoy. You can do either. The wine might be a little short in terms of lingering reverberations on the palette, but a lot of these wonderful natural wines from the Beaujolais region can be like that. They are for the here and now. (Not that this couldn't age for a few years; it could. I'm going to try to lay off my other bottle for a year or two to see.)

    September 8, 2018 - Perfect bottle.
Great nose. Blue and dark fruit combined with herbs and chocolate, and a hint of liquorice.
Light to medium body. Everything is in balance here.
On the palate the wine offers liquorice, dark plum, herbs and a hint of blueberries.
Quite long finish with lots of liquorice in the aftertaste.

Usually I'm not fond of Vin Nature but this is good!
The wine have sex appeal ... for sure! And me too after a bottle!
    Well made, Julie :-)
