March 11, 2022 - Wine Tasted at Acker Auction (Ci Siamo - New York NY): Small glass, walk around tasting. Brilliant nose of red, black, and blue fruit with subtle spice and faint meatiness. Similar flavor profile, just coming across as very backward today, so very "2005." Dense and powerful finish, even if not yet fully forthcoming. A great wine still approaching its peak drinking window. Better 2030 forward, and I think this has 95-96 point potential, even if possibly 93 points tonight.
