  June 28, 2019 - 2 weeks in Australia with a stopover in Singapore; 6/14/2019-7/1/2019 (Singapore, Sydney, Adelaide, McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley, Adelaide Hills): From the wine list at the Magill Estate Restaurant. We all really enjoyed the '98 St. Henri, we had a the tasting, so were excited to get to try one with even more age. Clearly much more mature than the '98, this is starting to brown up a bit in color. On the nose there is leather, mature fruit and earth. The leather and earth are coming through much more than the fruit, but the package is still savory and well composed. Seems like this one is fully ready to drink.

  June 28, 2019 - Return to Aus; 6/23/2019-7/5/2019 (Adelaide, South Australia wine regions, Tassie, Yarra, etc.): I've been wanting to try an old St Henri for quite some time and so very fun to get one here. I'll admit that it comes across a bit more musty than I expected. The '98 was quite young and vibrant. Here you have a bit quieter. Some red currant. Lots of leather. Darker. Very Bordeaux in style as it shifts into more secondary notes.
