October 21, 2018 - 85 is the top end of "good" on your rating scale and this is a 85-86, very creditable New Zealand effort at Gewurz. Lots of fruit on the back of a fairly dry presentation, but we prefer the drier versions of this varietal and at $15, not a bad little deal. A little more spice and a little more depth to the fruit would have merited a higher rating, but we were pleased with what we got for the price. For a Thanksgiving turkey or ham, I'd probably want a little bit better wine and spend a little more $$$, but this would be great with turkey or ham leftovers, second tier wine, but as I said, good.

January 16, 2017 - New Zealand London Annual Trade Tasting (Lindley Hall, Royal Horticultural Halls): Low intensity tropical fruits, some floral notes, the palate shows floral notes again, rose-liquer, rosewater, turkish delight, 14% alc that stands a bit taller, med acidity, short to med finish
