February 14, 2020 - Clean, well made, but currently quite simple (devoid of any complexity). Worked well with dinner, but disappoints on its own. Suggest waiting a few years before drinking. Amendment: Saved some and drank it two nights later. It really was delicious with more complex flavors of spice, earth, and dark fruit. It was very clean and delicious.

February 9, 2020 - Unfortunately, I am unable to rate as this bottle was ever so slightly corked. One of the mildest cases of TCA I’ve encountered to date but it wasn’t really in question. Bummer, too, as the underlying wine was outstanding. I enjoyed the first glass so much, I didn’t even notice, but after 30 minutes of air, the wet paper came though. After that I could almost push through it to get at those briny notes with tarred blackberry fruit, but alas...

December 21, 2019 - Clearly a second wine. Faint old world nose. Pleasant medium to full bodied wine. Fruit integrated, pairs with food. Slight second fermentation going on. A pleasant hint of cherry on the finish. All-around average.

December 8, 2019 - To quote Margaux Bro who drank a bottle of this in July and liked it: "This is definitely a warm climate high alcohol wine that is a lot of fun - do not buy if you're into restrained lower alcohol wines." I used to like those but my palate has definitely changed away from this kind of beast. It's not so costly that you couldn't try a bottle yourself and see what you think.

November 1, 2019 - Still needs 3-4 years to fully integrate and soften a bit. Hold remaining bottles.
