August 17, 2017 - Light clear fading ruby- tca nose - little substance left to overcome tca so Drano

Tasted non blind at a wine dinner.

Garnet to dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose seems to be giving off some volatile acidity. Perhaps some aromas of berries and camphor? Simple flavors of red berries. Medium acidity, medium tannin, medium body. Drink now. No rating only because I think it might be a touched flawed.

June 25, 2010 - PLUMS, BLACKBERRIES, AND LICORICE IN THE NOSE AND FLAVOR. MEDIUM TO LONG FINISH.

March 2, 2010 - On the first day it was kind of flat and short palate. Next day it opened up, much better that the first day.

September 4, 2004 - An interesting Turley Zin. It is restrained in style and at 15% alcohol is on the low end for Turley zins. There is a woody note throughout (Parker says "balsam" but it was hard for me to distinguish) as well as firm acids. Good.

[$38; Double decanted for about 30 minutes; served with a smoked, spicy pork tenderloin]
