Community Tasting Notes 30

March 30, 2024 - Tom & Bruna's Wine Tasting (Edina, MN): When the community is way off on this one. I am sure many are influenced by a critic as this wine is not a pop and pour and review. This initially was not great but blossomed. Funk, spices white pepper, cherry, blue currants, coffee beans and stone. Concentrated effort and 5 out of 5 wine of the night votes which almost never happens.

February 16, 2024 - Opened and Audozed in the morning, served for dinner that evening. A solid showing given the amount of aeration it had and as enjoyable as it was, all I could think about was how much better it'll be in 4-8 years. Love the spice and hidden complexities here. A joy. 14,0% abv. For its full potential, it's highly recommended

November 26, 2023 - From coravin sample, evergreen on the nose, lots of black fruit and mineral, sleek and balanced. Decanted the rest of the bottle on the following day, let it breathe for 2-3h. Softer. Smoother. Plenty of dark silk fruit and just the right amount of acidity. Evergreen has receeded, which I prefer. 91/92

November 22, 2023 - PnP and consumed over two nights. Smells deep and dark; little funk and barn. Wonderful weight and texture on the entry. Inky and dense to a degree but light on its feet and very balanced. Plum, black olive. N2: getting a little pepper on the nose. Overall drinking better than it did on N1. Quite nice, this.
