February 25, 2024 - Riesling bash at CHIKO (Chevy Chase, Maryland): This is so racy and bright – a real eye-opening Sekt for me. Crunchy green apples and kiwi, with tons of minerals and these flinty, slate, mountain stream vibes. Nuanced graham cracker and bread crumbs. The focus and depth are really impressive.

February 16, 2017 - A Rieslingfeier of our Own; 2/13/2017-2/18/2017 (Traben-Trarbach, Germany): #11-16, 6 g/L dosage. This is some of the best Sekt I've ever had. It's creamy and crisp and refreshing all at the same time. Not bitingly acidic, there's a very soft texture to this wine, but coupled with crisp minerality. A touch of sweeter fruit adds lots of excitement.
