  February 19, 2023 - Tobacco, dried thyme, dry earth, hints of dark fruit, but mainly savory driven on the nose. Medium+ aromatic intensity. The palate has a little more red fruit, and finished with spice and subtle mouthpuckering note I can’t quite place. This is pretty good, some good notes, not a ton of finish or structure, but solid.

  January 3, 2021 - Interesting wine. Nose is spice (clove and cinnamon), violet, tobacco leaf, and musty raisin. Taste is dark fruit (prune, plum), raisin, smoke, and leather. Med+ acidity, med tannins, med+ body. Opened in the glass, no decant. It isn't a particularly integrated or smooth experience, but is unique at a great price ($18). I would recommend giving it a whirl.

  July 7, 2020 - Opened 1.5 h before dinner of homemade pizza (x2 margeurita and veggie).
  
  Concentrated dark fruit with dark cherry and leather and hint of raisin. Velvet tannin. Nice balancing acidity. Simple but lingering finish.
  
  Great Tuesday night wine and the pizza pairing was spot on (thanks, Rougeamore!).

  May 23, 2020 - Red with slightly brown hue. Bright cherry and raspberry flavors with background spice notes. Medium bodied with lively acidity. Excellent accompaniment with red sauce pasta. 55% Corvina, 25% Rondinella, 10% Corvinone with Merlot and Cab making up the rest. Half the grapes were dried in the same way as Amarone. This is a bargain given the quality and price.
