February 15, 2024 - Light straw in color with excellent clarity. Good acidity throughout with hints of tropical fruit and citrus flavors. Medium to long finish for a somewhat unoaked chardonnay.

July 4, 2023 - This wine really changed as warmed up some after taking it out of the wine chiller. The wine was a pale straw color. At first there wasn’t much nose or character. But after waiting a few minutes it came alive. Some banana and roasted marshmallows came to light on the nose which was very unique. A definite presence of toasted oak on the palate but lacks signs of malolactic fermentation other that a viscous mouthfeel.

Overall, this isn’t my favorite WS Chardonnay. But perhaps the vintage had something to do with that. 2015 isn’t a favorite of mine for grapes from Northern California.

March 8, 2021 - Vibrant chard with bright fruit and a snappy mouthfeel. Best WS chard I have had in years!

December 19, 2020 - Coravinned a glass tonight; aromatic tropical notes, mango, pineapple, coconut, with some nice ripe orchard fruit notes of peach apple, but a bit too ripe and fruity with a good dose of fine french oak, but maybe too much; alcohol is a bit high as well, just seemed too fruit driven which I'm not a fan of. On the other hand there is good cut, nice balance, some good underlying mineral notes that might make me think of a ripe Macon. Medium+ bdy, decent finish. I think either I'm just not a fan of WS chards, or it could need another 5 years which I think this could def handle. I bit disappointed. I'll try the rest tomorrow and see if it settled down a bit, and find out what the oak treatment is on this. 89

Next day: the fluffy fruitiness blew off and this showed much better, more mineral, pit fruits, still a touch of oak, nice balanced body with fairly high acidity. Really nice with Ramen tonight! Definitely let this breathe if you're going to pop it. 91
