  January 15, 2023 - My third bottle of this wine over the past year. Not giving a rating because, despite my efforts to like it, oaky Chardonnays just aren’t my taste. That said, this wine really is something of a chameleon based on food pairing . Paired bottle number one with a cream sauce pasta and thought it was just okay. Second bottle with lobster rolls and it was awful - absolutely overwhelmed the lobster( my wife and brother agreed!) Tonight had it with a creamy three meat ragu and for the first time I found some enjoyment in the glass. The fatty meats and the tomato purée helps to tame the oak. But to sip on it’s own after the food was gone? No thanks! If you like oaky Cali Chards, however, you’ll likely find it a pleasant weeknight quaff. Still have three bottles left- uggh!

  January 1, 2023 - Yellow-Straw. Pineapple, vanilla, lemon, red apple. This always delivers. Very good indeed.
