February 18, 2024 - I'm drinking these far too quickly - this may have been the best bottle yet. Everything you'd expect from a classically styled Barolo - cherry, tar, roses, perhaps a touch of tea and blood orange. The fruit filled out a bit more with this bottle, with a bit less austerity. Texturally felt more complete too, though the finish is still just a tad shorter than I'd like. This will keep, but it's hard to say if they are actually improving.

November 18, 2023 - Despite a decent decant, this bottle was slightly reticent. Colour wise this bottle looked a bit mature for its age and it certainly shows some very attractive secondary characteristics, like saddle leather and dried mushrooms. The fruit, however, is very restrained. I love a fine and light Barolo, but this just felt austere at the moment. I don't know if these just need more time, if it was just this bottle, or something else.

October 13, 2023 - Consistent with previous note - this actually felt slightly more mature than I would have expected.

October 5, 2023 - A touch reticent on the nose at first - opening to reveal red cherry, game and a touch of soil. Medium bodied, lightly spicy red cherry fruit, soft tannins, fresh acids, good length harmonious finish. Drinking nicely

September 6, 2023 - Mmm. This is delicious. Cherries, floral notes. With some air, a little red licorice. This has softened up since I last had it about 5 years ago. I was worried this might still be hard going, but it is drinking really nicely.
