Community Tasting Notes 8

February 6, 2024 - This wine offers intense aromas and great complexity.
On the nose, yellow and green fruit mixed with a refined petrol note.
On the palate very precise, great freshness, multilayered aromas and lengthy finish. Riesling greatness.

Am I rating this too low because of the other reviewers?
This wine is at least excellent, if not outstanding.

February 3, 2024 - Plentiful Riesling diesel aromas, tart attack sporting lime and its pith, with leaner fruit than one might expect. A wine for the beginning of a meal, not the end.

(This note reflects a difficult asian food pairing: a salty, highly acidic fish dish.)

February 26, 2022 - Very zippy and green on the first day, though some ripeness can be sensed. It was mainly showing notes of lime, bitter lemon and orange pith initially. On day three it opened up to show more fruitiness, Granny Smith apples, lime, unripe pineapple, and a lot of petroleum on the nose.

The nose is certainly the winner on this wine, as it falls through a little on the palate. The petroleum on the nose is really rather nice, but the wine has a slightly disjointed feel to it, as it seems a little unripe in style.
