September 20, 2020 - Similar to one year ago. Drinking well.

September 14, 2019 - Winebar [2 Rosés, 2 Whts, & 8 Reds] from 09/13/19 + 8 Shared Bottles (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): "This comes from a single 1.8 ha vyd just next to 1er Cru Vaulorent, the N-facing side of the Grand Cru hill, named Des Couverts. The vyd lies in a cool corridor and is typically the last wine to be harvested." -Importer; 1,146 cs made

N: Honey atop minerals with notes of lemons

P: MF body; RNDISH entry with NICE, almost swtish counterbalanced by an acidity which never loses contact with the init frt as it fairly seamlessly morphs into a quite LONG, BALANCED finish with an elegant tangy/swtness. For now & probably through '22. VERY nicely made! My EXC/EXC+, & I'd certainly listen to an argument for the higher based upon QPR. 91 pts ea WS and Wine & Spirts, and 89 Burghound. [I no longer saw addt'l sources with which to compare this vendor's $28.95.]

    Note: Also tasted on 9/22 & 12/1/18

April 12, 2019 - Light golden in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of lemons/limes, grapefruit & apples with overtones of mineral/flinty notes, some floral notes, stony/chalky & a hint of smoky undertones in the background. Medium-light bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, crisp, ripe citrus flavors of lemons/limes, grapefruit & green apples, chalky, stony & minerals. Lingering crisp finish. Drinks quite well at present but has potential for further development with a few more years of aging.

March 10, 2019 - Opened last night. Not really a fan, unlike the ‘15s. Doesn’t have much of a Chablis character, and seems disjointed and unharmonious. It looks the part, but isn’t. Identifiable as Chardonnay, but that is about it. Something very wrong here. 5-9-10-4: 78/100.
