February 21, 2022 - Color is slightly off putting. Initially pear on the nose and beautifully spicy. Nice acidity. Medium tannins. Dark fruit and pear on the palette. Long finish with lavender notes. Liked it less as it opened up. Ate with meatballs in tomato sauce and pesto noodles.
Better the second day. Smoother. Less acid, still spicy. Next time, I’ll decant. -

March 14, 2018 - Dusky, medium red hue, leggy. Aromas of leather, clove, cinnamon, gingersnaps and fennel. Tannic with leather flavors, but enjoyable.

December 15, 2017 - A fairly simple, medium-bodied red which presents mostly smooth plummy flavors against a backdrop of light tannins and mild acidity. It’s possible to tease out a bit of bing cherry and raspberry with some work and agitation.
