February 5, 2019 - A big wow on the initial attack - but then continues to get even better on the mid palate and has a hugely long finish. A real pleasure to drink this wine. Structure is still very fruit driven though tertiary notes just beginning to develop. It provides a huge mouthful of sweet ripe fruit but with multiple layers of flavour: damson, kirsch, blackcurrant, blackberry all roll around the mouth. Perfect to drink now but with plenty of years left in it. Tannin is there and is ripe fine and never anything more than firm. Good acidity as well to provide balance - though the fruit is so big some would prefer greater "elegance" - but not me! Gorgeous as it is.

June 11, 2011 - Decanted for 4 hours prior to drinking. Big,bold beautiful Napa Cab. It explodes in the mid palate and finishes forever. It was edged out 3-2 by an 01 Darioush, but I preferred this one!

August 17, 2007 - Beautifully made wine. Nice texture, soft tannins and very drinkable now - doesn't drink like 100% cab.
