November 12, 2023 - Unlike prior bottles, this was marred by brett and was intolerably earthy, dry, and funky although some fruit remained.

June 28, 2023 - I opened this because it was leaking. There is a fair amount of ullage. The cork smelled a bit like TCA, but the wine is sound. This is an earthy, meaty, grippy wine. Kind of reminds me of a Chianti Classico with the earthy notes and cherry fruit profile. I won't rate this with points because it is atypical with the leakage.

April 26, 2023 - Light ruby core. Floral, herbal aromas. Lighter weight. Char and sweet red berry fruit with excellent acidity and low tannin. Excellent and even better than a bottle 6 months ago.

March 12, 2023 - Yes, this score is real. I would put this bottle up against any Burgundy Grand Cru. Stunning wine. Visited the winery in Chavignol in 2019 and now wish I had bought a lot more. Bottom line, visit Chavignol and buy all the Sancerre Rouge you can get your hands on.

October 16, 2022 - Light red center with a watery edge. Red fruit and moderate wood char on the nose with a bit of mint as well. Light weight and full of earth. Smoke, herbs, and progressively more light red fruit with almost Gamay-like acidity and brambliness on the finish. This was a very good lighter style Pinot. Nothing here to suggest a warmer vintage wine.
