April 17, 2022 - Flavors of blackberry, spice and floral...aromas of the same, however a very smooth palate with moderate acidity and mild tannins. This syrah has the qualities to pair with a robust meat (short ribs) and still complement a surf (lobster)...yes shellfish! Its the combination of the two entrees that makes this work.

October 15, 2021 - In a great spot, seemingly just at middle age. Smoked game meat, licorice, balsamic, plums, dark fruits. Round and soft with silky tannins.

January 27, 2021 - Christmas 2020 & Beyond -- Pandemic Wines (Quarantine in Arlington): Seemed a bit closed or even tired at first, but then opened up over time (days, that is, but who has days?). Smoky cherry and tobacco elements in the forefront.

March 7, 2019 - Tasting with Andy Peay (Washington, DC): A beautiful young Syrah. Floral and spicy with plums and cherries on thee nose. The palate shows bright red and black cherry fruit on a frame of solid tannins and lively acidity. Delicious young fruit, but already a nice mix of pepper, mushroom, iron, bloody and olive notes that should evolve well over time.
