October 19, 2022 - Prior bottle was 14 months ago and this wine remains in a very good spot. Nose continues to be an aromatic mix of black cherry, black raspberry and spices. Between medium and full bodied with black cherry upfront, still retaining some nice, high-toned qualities to go with the more rounded and open notes. Adds black raspberry through the middle along with plum behind. Tannins are fine grained and support the fruit quite well, while the tart black cherry, spices and acidity provide contrast to the darker, mid-body fruit. Continues to show good balance and has the elements to remain at this level for perhaps another couple of years.

May 20, 2022 - Nice medium weight and dark fruit profile. Black cherry and black plum predominate. I kept getting a flavor on the backend that all I could relate to was creamy caramel. I drink my Pinots on the younger side so it was nice to experience this 2015. No signs of age or oxidation. Very well integrated overall. Solid but it did not wow me.

August 14, 2021 - Prior bottle was eight and a half months ago and the wine continues to evolve positively. Black cherry, black raspberry and background spice notes on the nose. Between medium and full bodied with rounded black cherry upfront with some hints of black raspberry. In the mid-body, the black raspberry becomes noticeably more dominant and plum again comes in on the backside. Lightly tart black cherry, integrated spices and fine grained tannins through the finish. As compared to my prior bottle, spices, acidity and tannins continue to integrate nicely. The fruit retains power, but is more open and nuanced than previously. As compared to the 2104 from last night, this 2015 is deeper, has slightly better balance and is much more blackfruit in style where as the 2014 as very redfruit. This wine should be able to hold this level for at least another year or so and I'll plan to open my last bottle in Q2 2022, perhaps either June or July.
