September 20, 2006 - Dark, yet seethrough red color. No convincing stripes on glass. Nose is filled with strawberries, some cherries, hints of meat and earth. Light to medium bodied. Very dry with a short finish, but also some interesting hints of meat, earth, salt and dark berries. It's a difficult wine to judge as its not really impressive, but it constantly hints at something more. I guess its shortcomings can be related to the fact that this is the lowest ranking Roger Sabon wine and it's strengths to the fact that this is the 2005 vintage. If I am right it does give some promise about Rhône 2005 in general. Rating: 86+
