May 4, 2024 - Pnp. Drank over 2 days. Day 2 was about the same as day 1. Nice dark fruit nose. Consistent, lively tastes of red & darker fruits. Notably better than 11/11/23 bottle. Good example of bottle variation.

November 11, 2023 - Decanted 1/2 hr. Drank over 2 days. Day 2 was a little flatter than day 1. Tastes of red & darker fruits. Unexciting. Maybe past its prime?

July 12, 2023 - I opened this wine and let it breathe for an hour or so. The first glass tasted like oaked raisin juice. It almost did not taste like wine. We drank it over the next hour or two and it became more astringent and unbalanced as it warmed. I don’t know if they still make wines like this, but I hope they don’t in 2023. The style is dead. Yes, you can make an overripe, over extracted wine with decent acidity in Paso but why would you. Truly a horrible wine to any one interested in balance and terroir. I tried it again on night two. The fruit faded and it had an astringent finish with a hot alcohol burn.

December 24, 2022 - Killer! As Denner wines tend to be. Smoky, deep and dark. Great pairing with a thick Lasagna.
