September 17, 2007 - I was worried about this one. Bought it at a Bon Appetit auction in Las Vegas years ago and have been carrying it around without any confidence it would drink well. In fact, when I opened it, I was prepared for it to have gone bad. But we opened it at Dan Buettner's house early in Sept. '07 at a party for the fund-raising committee for the Butterball event. And it was VERY drinkable. Rough edges gone, nice fruit, nice acid. All in all, a pleasant surprise. And the fact it was a 5-litre bottle added some festivity to the party--always fun to pour wine from a gigantic bottle.

October 10, 2006 - Absolutely fantastic, rich syrah for the price point. Wide ranging appeal.
