February 19, 2022 - Should have drunk this a decade ago. Had with rack of lamb. Dark fruits and tobacco and leather but nothing remarkable.

February 22, 2014 - Decanted tableside at rest in napa.. A bit restrained upon opening. Stooped up to Mediterranean fare well. Opened up as nite went on to be a nicely aged cab. Started out as a mid 80s level wine that blossomed out over 1-2 hours to a low 90s level wine for us. Nice qpr aged napa cab.

January 12, 2013 - Big, dark Cab with lots of tannin still there. Good flavor, big nose but the tannins didnt smooth out as well as I had hoped. Good wine, sorry that Fife couldn't make it

June 12, 2011 - Dark rich color, very nice nose, still big tannins, soften up after 2 hours in a decanter. This one still has time.

February 16, 2011 - When I first started collecting wine (around 1999), Fife Cab was one of my favorites. Unfortunately they subsequently went out of business.

This one was opened a couple of years later than recommended. The nose was quite good. The initial tasting was a little off, but it opened nicely after about 20 minutes in the glase. Soft tannins in the back.. The second class later the same night from an uncorked bottle was still harsh at the start but openned up well. The third glass that night accompanied a tri-tip. The combination was OK, but not all that exciting. The last of the glass I had with a slice of multi grain bread and that actually was a better match. I think the fat in the tri-tip was too much for the wine.
