September 2, 2022 - Heavily reduced. Put back in the fridge and went away for the long weekend. Notes from Monday 9/5. The reduction has almost entirely blown off. Almost. Soft reduction, ash, black cherry, damp earth. On the palate: lovely acidity. soft popcorn, cherry pit, very light in style. Soft translucent red in color. Attenuated very soft tannin on the tangy finish. Not as good as some of the better bottles of this I've had, but I guess that's how it goes with Metras.

August 1, 2022 - Crazy perfumed nose immediately blows up the glass. Sweet soft cherry and spice. Very captivating, sweet but not candied, subtle stems, sous bois. Blind on the nose this would put many top cote d'or to shame. Palate brings things back to bojo. Soft, balanced, drinking so well now.

September 2, 2021 - Reduction, but not nearly in the same orbit as my previous btl. Beneath that, stunning: cranberry, rose, olive, rosemary. On the palate: fantastic acidity, rose, cranberry, rosemary, lovely density. Yeah, words...yum.

April 20, 2021 - Almost a rusty-magenta color in the glass? Light and almost entirely transluscent - nearly pink. Intense nose hits with woodsy, mushroom and herb notes. Also some strawberry on the nose, but also on the palate which has more typical red fruits. Tannins hardly evident. Light and delicious. 12.5% abv.
