February 19, 2023 - Tasted blind. Savory aromas and palate Cloves, leather, espresso bean, smoked meat, wet earth and then you find blackberry, plums and licorice
Old World feel from start to finish
Very good wine with lots of life ahead of it

February 18, 2023 - Impressed would be an understatement. I’ve been drinking Painted Rock wines for over 10 years and I’ve always been impressed with their Syrah. The 2015 stands out with upfront black olives that tend to fade away during the first hour after decanting. This wine is packed with jammy fruit, notes of tobacco, leather and held together by lush tannins. There is structure and layers upon layers. Very well balance with good acidity to make it fresh despite everything going on.
It probably has reached its peak but will hold for another 3-5 years. Why wait.

July 29, 2022 - Excellent. Definitely ready to drink now. I wouldn't wait more than another year, maximum two. The tannins are barely there anymore. 30 minutes in, the wine was very well integrated. It have a lovely weight and texture. Tasting notes are similar to previous. Nice mix of fruit and spice. Nose is a bit weak as per the okanagan style.

October 14, 2021 - 94 is a hefty score but this bottle is even better than previous. It is literally silky in its appearance, body and mouthfeel. Great tertiary nose of dried black fruits, liquorice, cured meat, and olives. A pleasure to quaff on a cool rainy evening.

May 31, 2021 - P&P. Quite spicy. I love how the Okanagan Valley produces Syrah's that hit the sweet spot between green and jammy. Tannins are well integrated, medium acidity. Wine had started to penetrate cork so drink sooner rather than later. Great value for money at $40 in 2018 (cellar door).
