May 4, 2021 - From 75cl screwcap, P+P. Lighter-bodied and distinctly lower alcohol (12%) than I'd have expected from Bürklin and/or Pfalz. So what does it smell and taste of? Well, it's a wine-gum-perfumed Riesling, with finely chiseled acidity, brittle "minerality", no tropical fruit, and a texture which definitely isn't "oily" (as recorded here by Darkhorn on 28.02.2021) but thin and supple, more like a light Loire white. Nice wine, but not a rebuy for me. To be fair, I generally prefer B-W's Wachenheimer Ortswein to their Ruppertsberger. Ready, but no hurry. 89P
