January 19, 2014 - Pale straw in colour. Subtle nose - maybe honeysuckle/jasmine floral notes.

Then on the palate, I am picking up a slight taste of chicken (or is this my mind playing tricks on me?) . An intriguing texture - kind of silky and caressing (my tricky mind is now making me think of the sort of thing they like to show on adverts for Veet!). White fruit - apples, pears, grapes and more floral action. Also decent minerality. Just delicious, though. It's similar to the white Bordeaux that I guess it's designed to emulate, but packs quite a punch (albeit in a velvet glove).

Just looking through other TN's I can agree with flint and ginger ale!

The finish is longish. Maybe the weakest point of this wine, as it leaves a slight residue in the mouth. Still a classy wine, though. I'm not sure if there's any hurry to drink up.

Very nice indeed... If you want a score, I suppose about 91 or so.

January 19, 2013 - It's really aged in the last ten months. Still lovely, but where it seemed to be growing leaner and meaner a year ago, this last bottle from my stash was fruitier and heading toward flabby - happily, we caught it at "luscious". New-world tropical flavors this time. Drink now, if you've still got any.

March 26, 2012 - Yow, this is super; wish I had more than one remaining. Leaner and meaner than my last bottle a year ago (really, shedding fat in the seventh year after vintage? is the semillon taking a nap, leaving the sauvignon blanc in charge?) and was showing a highly appealing and complex citrus assortment with smoky flint and a healthy splash of ginger ale.

March 6, 2011 - Reliably great, and probably the best-enjoyed of my four bottles to date: goes with mussels in rich and rustic wine/thyme/onions like Astaire goes with Rogers.

January 25, 2011 - Drinking very well. A lot more body than a straight-up Sauvignon Blanc, a very appealing oily viscous mouth feel, and mellow (meaning rounded but not muted) citrus-mineral flavors. Great with fish (cod, porgy) with Provencal flavors. Girlfriend who's not a big white fan dug it too.
