March 10, 2020 - One hour decant. Light rosy ruby color, with a thin, slightly rusty rim. White pepper, red cherry, raspberry, macadamia nut and graphite on the nose. Smooth, dry palate, with acidity that imparts a dustiness. Graphite evolves into minerality. Firm, full tannins on the medium long finish.

There may have only been a single vintage of this GSM (~ 50 cases). 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 10% Mourvedre. It’s a touch pale, very elegant, but lacks richness. Fun, rare wine.

May 5, 2018 - Hommage a DryCab - Washington Wines release; 5/3/2018-5/5/2018 (Various spots in Walla Walla): Really liked this wine. Bucked the new world trend of being fruit dominant. Here the first taste was like peppered asparagus (which is better than perhaps it sounds when I write it down). It's got a nice complexity and the flavors continue to shift. Suddenly more of a spice cabinet. Then black fruits. Great wine.
