October 7, 2020 - Decanted for an hour or so. Horse sweat on the nose. Very tame tannins on the palate. Wonder whether it will get any better. Probably best to drink now.

September 2, 2019 - Medium ruby color. Stewed plums and vanilla on the nose. The wine is dry, fruity, and easy to drink, with flavors of dark cherries and berries on the palate.

    Solid QPR at $10.

December 1, 2018 - Nice rich Montepulciano with lots of fruit. Had with some creamy cannelloni and white pizza. Made the wine drinkable and delicious. Definitely a buy.

July 28, 2018 - Sat, 07/28/18, $2 Tasting (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): 250,000 cs made!

N: RIPE berries, poss a touch of jam

P: Med, poss LM, body; ALMOST swtish frt counterbalanced by an acidity which transitions into a LONG, decently balanced finish with a TANGY/swtness to the scant, very, VERY fine tannins. For now & probably into EARLY '20. Nicely done for everyday drinking! 13% ABV; My VG+, more *if* QPR a focus. 88 pts WS, 86 @ '17 Decanter World Wine Awards, & Silver @ '17 Mundus Vini. [This vendor's $9.95 puts it in the top 20% of wine-searcher's postings.]
