April 24, 2019 - An enjoyable sparkling wine, but oddly enough did not scream Riesling to me, and did not show all of the aged complexity one might expect of a wine its age. It did have bright acidity, clean fruit, and some fairly complex oxidative notes....but just not enough "oomph" to really impress. I also have a bottle of the '91 and hope for a bit better showing.

March 23, 2019 - This was the least impressive of the Lauer sparkling wines I’ve had. This has none of the complexity or mystery of the other older vintage releases. Highly mineral and bright citrus on the nose. On the palate, this is very reserved except for some interesting creme brûlée notes. Short undistinguished finish. I have a few more. Will wait to pop the next one....maybe this evolves?

February 14, 2019 - Interesting wine for sure at 23 years old shows nutty, earthy lemon rind, fine mousse that is quite energetic on the attack but softens allot from the mid palate on, somewhat bitter quick finish
