February 5, 2017 - A very un-Super Bowl private Super Bowl party (Chez Moi): Lovely balance and really delicious even if seemingly more a Spatlese. Held up quite fine with Thai chili wings. Young and robust. Yum!

May 31, 2016 - Nice well made Kabinett with a good blend of acid and sweetness. The 10 years in bottle have been good to the wine and it shows nice and rich. Lots od diesel and a light citrus and slightly tart finish.

November 11, 2008 - A delightful wine combining sweet forward nectarine and tangerine flavours with an intense rocky minerality. Bright acidity with a lovely crunchy mouthfeel, but this falls away slightly at the finish. Very tasty though, and a wine I'd happily buy again.

October 28, 2008 - Light green-flecked straw colour, and lovely to just sit and breathe in with tons of slate, tangerine, nectarine and apple on the nose. On the palate this is just fantastic with bright pear and tangerine flavours mingled with lots of slate and rocks. There's plenty of acidity present, and the mouthfeel is awesome - moving this around the mouth almost feels like having pebbles rolling over your tongue. Clean long finish with a little jab of grapefruit/citric bitterness at the back end.

March 31, 2008 - Unbelievable. Still incredibly fresh, with brilliant acidity adding insane volume to rich, smokey gray-slate notes, which aren't even 'notes' per se, but overtures in their own right. This is lower Nahe terroir to the core. The fruit is that of a tangerine being vigorously chewed, with all the rindy juices melting away to even deeper depths of blood-orange, persimmon and caramelized apple. The finish is all smashed vitamins and minerals, with a smokey creaminess that sails for nearly a minute. Incredible and tasting every bit as massive as many a grey-slate Mosel brethren. One of my all-time favorite Kabinetts from this fine producer. 93.
