February 25, 2018 - Big plush nose with great acid berry punch and integrating tannins. With air and time got even bigger. By 3rd night cooled and on air tasted again and was still big inky fruit with some chew- where’s my steak?

November 16, 2012 - Dark fruit. Great mouthfeel of some slightly grippy tannins. Blue and cran type fruit flavors with some odd tobacco note. Mild amount of tannin. Finish did shorten with aeration. I'd drink these up. Shared blind last night with the person who gave me this as a gift 5 years ago. Fun! Thanks, man.

August 26, 2012 - I've been known to hold onto bottles until they're past their prime. Not this one (which, unfortunately, was my last). It just keeps getting better. Black. Huge nose. Absolutely explosive fruit on the palate - mostly blueberries. Long, tart, fruit-driven finish. A huge wine that is (no longer) excessively tannic.

January 22, 2012 - What a difference two+ years has made!! Almost black. Terrific nose - black fruit, smoke, a little licorice, and maybe even some violets(?). Big, bright, explosive black cherries on the mid-palate. Not particularly viscous, but the fruit lingers for a LONG time on the palate. Still pretty tannic and acidic; it should last - and maybe improve - for another couple years.
