October 17, 2020 - Clean and pretty fruit is the best part of this wine. However color was a bit cloudy/opaque, and nose started out pretty funky and never got to the level of the palate. Next time will be more disciplined about standing up for a week and slow oxidation.

September 10, 2018 - Gorgeous ruby with some bricking. Incredible aromas of truffle roses currant and sour cherry. Deep palate. Tremendous minute plus finish. Epic bottle. In a great place from the first sip.

April 24, 2018 - Our of a mag which I acquired at auction a few years ago. Cork a bit trickey getting out and it split causing me some concern. But no worries. Slow oxed for 10 hrs and was the 2nd bottle of the night. Perfect deep rich color and the nose was screaming flowers and especially violets. Nice dose of tar and pencil shavings. In the mouth just a nice basket of fruit and hot rocks. Really nice wine which could age effortlessly for many more years. Very good shpwing tonight. 93+

July 26, 2016 - Beautiful classic Barolo. Fully mature. Dusty leather and tar, sour cherry, iron and smoke. Drink now. Very enjoyable.

October 5, 2014 - Seen lots of bottle variation in this wine, but this one is spot on. Beautiful traditional Barolo aromatics, tar, herbs, in a well-balanced package, mid-weight, modest finish. Lovely mouthfeel. When it works, it works.
Note - I have no idea where the CT wine valuations come from. Using WineSearcher, the fair market value of this wine in October 2014 is $135.
