Community Tasting Notes 6

August 1, 2023 - Twist and pour. Tasted over two days, refrigerating the bottle over night.
    Gabriel Glas stem.
    Purple ruby color.
Nose offers dark fruits and some wet earth.
Shows the dark fruit profile with good acidity. Dark berries and some pomegranate with spice notes. Has a slight bitterness towards the middle and on the finish that takes away from the wine.

    14.5%abv.
    Stelvin screwcap.

December 30, 2019 - This deep ruby Pinot is packed with wild berries, holiday fruitcake, mulling spices and pipe tobacco. Medium-bodied, fresh, softly oaked and with nicely integrated alcohol (listed as 14.5%), it wraps its fruit with plentiful silky tannins and remains solid on the mid-palate. Finishing long and spicy, this is absolutely wonderful to enjoy around a winter's fire. From an oeonophile's perspective, it is a tragedy that Andrew Vingiello has retired his namesake label. These are wines that New World Pinot lovers covet. Drink now-2024.

February 13, 2019 - I reiterate my last tasting notes. Opened again tonight's gut and those notes were spot on.

Nose of crushed berries with some floral background character added. In mouth the wine delivers strawberry, black cherry and a cedar wood finish. This is a fabulous wine which is Cali Pinot thick and through. Fresh is the word that stands out.

The finish is bright cherry with a small amount of cinnamon spice.

April 28, 2018 - Twist and pour and tasted over two days.
    Dark purple color.
Nose of black fruits and some brown spices.
Big and rich with dark cherries and some clove and nutmeg notes as well. Acidity is sufficient to carry the ripe fruit and give it lift.
Still, this is a robust wine. Enjoyable.
