October 21, 2023 - Nose is all RRV, dark fruit on finish. Starting to show its limitations as no secondary or tertiary notes are showing, finish is short.

October 7, 2021 - Full bodied with just a touch of sweetness.

March 2, 2021 - While this deep ruby wine will never be confused with anything from Burgundy, it beautifully highlights the difference between Old and New World. Ripe, spice-laden and with up-front black and red fruit, it adds accessory notes of black olive tapenade, vanilla bean, cocoa and tobacco. Medium-bodied, fresh, judiciously oaked and with alcohol (listed at 14.6%) that lurks below the threshold when served at 60-65°F, it stays solid on the middle palate and leaves the taster with a big smile as it exits on the lengthy back end. This outstanding, impressively stuffed Pinot will ensure that the winemaking legacy of Andrew Vingiello perseveres for at least a few more years. Sadly, he has retired from the business, but there are many (myself included) who are hoping that he will return and produce more of his glorious wines. Drink now-2026.

January 25, 2021 - We usually do not drink Pinot this young but wow. Bright fruit, jammy taste, sweet, crushed berries on the tongue. Not dry long finish. Buy/hold

December 25, 2020 - Everyone at the dinner party raved about this wine.
