November 28, 2023 - Always a popular wine with the family - the 2016 is finally opening up but has about 5yrs left. Deeper than the 2015 and with Dancer's distinctive nose - apple, quince, confected grape, cream and struck match. Very persistent for this level and opens nicely over 30mins - good density if not complexity. Drinking well, will hold to 2028 (and maybe improve through 2024). 91pts

On the nose: apple, tarte tatin, cream, lemon, soft stone and a hint of noble reduction for depth. On the palate: lovely acidity, lemon, apple, soft cream, toast and good density on the finish. Excellent.
