May 23, 2024 - Beautiful medium ruby color fading to just a hint of garnet near the rim. The nose presents with dark red fruit, a green, leafy quality, forest floor, vanilla, and hints of spice. On the palate, the wine is showing sour cherries, a bit of mushroom-y earthiness, but the acidity hits big time in the mid palate and doesn’t feel super integrated. The finish is medium with vanilla and baking spices and just a hint of bitterness. Tannins are present and fine-grained.
