  January 11, 2013 - Agree with the previous poster. Nicely ripe, just a bit plummy with rich black fruit. Medium-full bodied with some wet black earth. Still shows some grip, finish is actually quite long. Bought on release at the winery. No hurry on this, five years will not be a problem.

  November 25, 2011 - Frankly, I disagree with the drinking window. I'd stretch it a few years, to probably 2014. We found a wine tonight that was a rich ruby red, with good-but-relaxing grip, and concentrated dark fruit. After going chard with Thanksgiving dinner, we went for a more muscular red with leftovers tonight and were not disappointed.

  May 4, 2011 - Very solid showing from this 13 year old wine. Tannins present though well rounded, dense fruit in the middle and a slightly bitter tobacco finish. High acidity and the bitter finish taking away some flavor from the middle prevented this from getting into the 90s. Guessing this wine would have been better if drank 2-3 years ago.

  September 11, 2010 - Still drinking well. Had to screen out the sediment but the wine was well aged with all the classic cab character.
