October 29, 2022 - Locked up tight at PNP. Gritty fine tannins and plus acid at this point in time. This wine will continue to benefit from cellaring. Extended slow or double decant is needed now to soft. Not the biggest fan of GIII but this one has some character.
94+ now with upside after 2025. -

May 23, 2018 - Charity Pouring - Stones, Fairchild, Brand and Immortal (Hidden Ridge) (Craft LA - West Los Angeles): Very similar to my last experience with this wine (note on 4/1/18). It was definitely the least "serious" of the group, but continued to get better and better as the night went on. It has that lovely black currant and wild berry nose, complemented by beautiful floral aromatics. It's more red than black/blue fruited, with well integrated, soft tannins and wonderful freshness. The finish isn't as long as the other Fairchild wines, but it is more resolved at the moment. This is the early drinker in the lineup.
