March 28, 2024 - Lots of dark fruit. It’s a rich drink, but the softness of the merlot is hidden. The 2016 is more expressive. Seems that this has more fruit from hotter vineyards. Rich but lacking finesse. Light tannins - accessible. I think this needs more time to integrate and come together. Fingers-crossed for the magnum in the cellar.
