October 31, 2011 - In a vintage as hot as 2003, it is amazing that Altare was able to produce a wine with as much finesse as this one. Ripe red fruits, and lingering spice on the palate. The alcohol is a touch hot, but that would be expected in this vintage. It doesn't have the elegance of other vintages (subtle spice and fruit, etc.), but the wine is still excellent. Drink it now.
