February 4, 2024 - This has softened incredibly well. It was too acidic a few years ago.Not anymore. With enough time in decanter this starts to shed its barnyard notes and reveal a fruity core on the nose. The palette is quite rich and intens. I like this so much more than the previous bottle I opened up a few years back. I am quite curious how this well age further. I got 3 bottles left.. enough to find out!

September 16, 2023 - This is my 4th Beaujolais from this winery and it's supposed to be the best cuvée, but I had many better wines from this AOC. My main problem - high acidity. I guess this is the distinctive style of this winery. Unfortunately acidity is too dominant and breaks everything else. The smell is just wonderful - barnyard ( very finessed), mandarin ( very strong aroma), earth, leather (I like it), herbs.
Taste? Mandarin, herbs, red cherry, red currant, spice. Tannins are too shy, because acidity is...yes, you know the answer.

I try to understand what I am missing just to like this wine, because I like wines with high acidity and tannins, but in this case there is no balance, no harmony.
Put it simple - this juice is too sour.

June 24, 2023 - One of the top producers in Cote de Brouilly, built in 15th century on an ancient volcano. They played a pivotal role in creation of Cote de Brouilly appelation. Cuvee Zaccharie is their grand vin, aged for 9 months in oak, 10% new. Its not an ordinary Gamay with deep ruby colour, quite concentrated with tight extra fine tannins. Deep garnet colour, ruby hue. Medium+ intensity aroma of cherries, plums, jammy and earthy hints, sweet briar, leather, spices. Medium body, tangy and fresh, saline hints, high acidity.

April 8, 2021 - I have to stop buying Bojo. Even at this level - what's up with the Ipecac smell. I thought the oak somehow would balance things out but in vain.
