June 3, 2022 - 2 hour decant. Splendid nose and luscious on the palate. Great time to be drinking now.

May 6, 2022 - Appearance: Bright and clear, the wine is of medium ruby colour, with fading rims and legs.
Nose: Clean, with pronounced intensity aromas of black fruit of blackcurrant and blackberry, red fruit of ripe cherries, oak notes of smoke, maturity notes of tobacco and savoury, mineral notes of earth, animal notes of leather, sweet spice of allspice, pungent spice of pepper. The wine is developing.
Palate: Dry with medium acidity, the wine has medium (+) tannin of ripe and silky texture, medium in alcohol and full body, with medium (+) intensity flavours of black fruit of blackberry and cassis, red fruit of ripe cherries, oak notes of smoke, maturity notes of savoury, sweet spice of clove, kernel notes of milk chocolate. The wine has a long finish.
Conclusion: Very good quality Super-Tuscan with a very intense nose showing great complexity, with the wine showing robust ripe black and red fruit, with good oak and earthy tones, spicy and supplemented with wonderful development characters. On the palate the wine is well-balanced, showing good structure and integrated, harmonious concentrated flavours and a very long finish. It is ready to drink now and can maintain for another 4-6 years.

December 28, 2021 - Champagne Brunch (@Terkel): Dark black currant fruit and it is starting to open up very nicely.
Has a lovely balance and a fresh profile. Lovely wine that has developed nicely.

October 17, 2021 - Primarily Cab Sauv notes, with dark fruit profile. The acidity level was surprising given how hot a year 2003 was. Tasty and went perfectly with a steak.

October 16, 2021 - Good times in Seattle (The Butcher's Table, Seattle WA): Nose: The nose nose is deep and contemplative, filling the glass with mint, currants, dark red cherries, black raspberries, earth, mushrooms, licorice, tobacco, leather, and savory spices.

Taste: The feel is Full bodied with medium acidity and resolving, medium+ tannins. The feel is deep and velvety with dark red cherries, black raspberries, currants, licorice, tobacco, leather, and savory spices.

Overall: This is in a perfect place. It does show off the vintage in a slight way, but this is far from stewed or overdone. It’s larger scaled, but still a tour de force and a wonderful expression of (mostly) Cabernet.
