June 24, 2019 - This 375ml was the last of my 2 bottles. I last had this in 2005. Light golden yellow color. This was not as sweet as I expected. Still drinking very well with notes of strawberries, basil and green apple. Fine minerality on the finish. I liked the bottle I had back in 2005 better but this was still fine. 94 points.

November 2, 2016 - Subdued and faded sweetness combines with rocky and mineral notes. This bottle was started to display old paper notes on the finish. I've had fresher bottles that still have more vitality. 92-93

February 26, 2011 - Happy Birthdays (Home): Half bottle. Deep yellow amber. Fantastic melange of petrol, mandarin orange, marmalade, and spices. Concentrated but nimble due to excellent acidity, the sweetness is hardly noticeable because of its great balance. Typical dessert wine in the Trimbach style, this comes across as less rich than most producers' Vendange Tardives. I was much more impressed with this tonight than the first time I tasted it a few years ago.

October 23, 2009 - Birthday with Vosne Romanee (Boka - Chicago IL): I recall liking this quite a bit, but that it wasn't SGN sweetness to my shot palate at that point in the evening

October 23, 2009 - Alan's Vosne Romanee Birthday at BOKA (BOKA Restaurant, Chicago IL): Light golden color with a mainly lemon peel nose with some wet stone and floral as well. A beautiful palate with great acidity, minerality, and length, but very dry in style for a SGN. I didn't view it as a dessert wine, but loved it nevertheless.
